1973 VW BAJA BUG- FOR SALE

SOLD

I finally decided to let go of my Baja Bug, and plan on replacing it with a small dual sport bike like a Yamaha Tw200 or XT 250.

I'm asking $ 2,200.00 or trade for good condition Yamaha TW200.

The Baja has served me well for many camping trips. I also get lots of thumbs up while driving it.

1973 VW Beetle
Street Legal ( Registration on Non-Op as of Feb 2015 )
1776 Engine w/ about 10,000 miles
Single Weber 40 IDF Carb.
009 Distributor w/ Pertronix Electronic Ignition
Talor 10mm Plug wires
Roll Cage
Supertrapp Spark Arrestor
Bosche Alternator
Stock IRS Trans
Ball Joint Beam w/ Adjusters
Front Disc Brakes

Only issues : Pops out of reverse unless you hold the shifter in reverse while backing up. ( never bothered me enough to pull trans and fix )
Could use an engine tune up, ( clean carb ) and bleed brakes as it has been sitting and brake pedal feels a bit spongy.
It does run and drive as is.

Located in Los Angeles / Orange County Area.

Very nice. I traveled the Continental Divide in Colorado in my 73 bug and a dog! Great fun. Good luck, s

I love these bugs. I bought this for a weekend around town shop vehicle last year. It is a shortened '68. Can't help but have a big smile when driving it.

Engine is running a little rough now. I need to learn how to work on these little engines.

Bump for a cool bug.
I tell people who are considering financing a side x side that they should buy one of these or a sami instead.
Chump change and legally drive on the street to boot.
