1983 Chevy TranStar

I've just acquired this 1983 Chevy TranStar. The thought of course is to do a slow rebuild. I was trying to find info about it, but there doesn't seem to be a thing about this camper van, class B, B+, C?

It's 17' long, from Canada (based on the vin), and made by Champion Home Builders. That's it, that is all I have. It seems to be in line with the TransVans that Champion also made, however, I'm not seeing any sleepover cab models or ones this small.

Anyone have any input?

The pictures make it look way more put together than it is. I'll post more soon. I've already started to demo the inside and found water leaks and mold. Super fun. Wet bath is on the right when you step in through the rear, Closet on the left.

GM had a van plant in Scarborough so that's the only part from Canada, unless it was licensed there. Champion had a few factories. Michigan I believe was one of them.

Yeah I think the incomplete van chassis was from Scarborough, Ontario. I have a Carfax, but it only goes back to 2000, and there's nothing confirming a Canadian registration, however, I'm not entirely sure it would? I haven't looked at Canada's version yet.
