One of the very few original 1984 Land Rover Defender 127. In 1983 the Land Rover Special Vehicles plant started making the 127 as a utility truck for the British Electric Company. They were made like this for only two years, 1983 & 1984, with square rear doors, two piece doors with sliding windows. Pastel Green paint is original with 36 year old patina. The limestone top was repainted at some point in its life. The truck has 8,000 miles on it since a full frame off rebuild. At the time of the rebuild the truck received the following:

*New Galvanized Chassis
*New Bulkhead
*Clean 300tdi Engine and R380 Transmission with 60k miles
*All new nuts and bolts
*New E-Brake Cable
*All new fuel and brake lines
*New windshield and gaskets
*New rear sliding window
*New rear curved glass window gaskets
*New genuine Land Rover springs
*New Bilstein shocks and steering stabilizer
*New bushings throughout
*New Michelin LTX Tires

The door bottoms were poorly welded at some point in its' life but because of the rarity of these doors and keeping the original paint they were not swapped out. Although the welding is not the prettiest the doors are structurally sound. This rover runs fantastic and is a pure pleasure to drive. This truck is registered at my house in Wilmington, Vermont and can be seen there or at my house in Western Massachusetts. Video's of a cold start, walk around and drive are below
