1986 Skamper 080S Truck Camper

Hello all,
I am brand new here having just picked up my Skamper project this afternoon. Sort of a barn find: its been in my folks' barn for the last 20 years easy. No water damage as it has been high and dry. However, it was a rodent hotel for the last 2 decades. It is looking like I will have to replace much of the canvas - or at least the windows and screens. The screens are either eatin or deteriorated and the windows are stained from the droppings.
Reach out to me if there are any good suggestions/warnings about removing all of the canvas in one piece.

A lot of cleaning, scrubbing and disinfecting ahead of me. Then checking out the refrigerator, stove etc. for more damage from the damn mice.

Congrats good luck . Canvas replacements I had a new one made and smaller Windows . It was about 650 they did awesome job

Was the canvas removable in one piece without removing the roof? Where did you send yours for repair or replacement?

Congrats! I picked up one last fall and will begin repairs shortly. Search for Skamper in this forum and you will find a few goo rebuild posts/pictures. I "Believe" you can remove the canvas without taking the top off.... however it may be overall easier to remove the top. If I was going to replace the whole canvas and make it myself, I'd uses a "sunbrella" or similar fabric. Remember the Camper is quite old and this material should easily outlast the camper and is easier to work with.
