I am toying with the idea of selling my 87 westy "weekender". I have enjoyed the project but I have too many cars and feel like a need to sell a few and get a nice daily driver. I pulled this van from behind a shop about 2 years ago and have since gone through the entire van.

The van has no rust and has lived its life in the south.
The following has been replaced and have less than 10k miles on them.

-plugs, wires, cap, ect
-misc sensors that usually give problems
-The radiator has been cleaned and repaired where needed.
-New pop top canvas and seals
-Repainted pop top
-new seals on skylight
-New skylight crank
-New ABS door panels
-New laminate flooring
-New tan cloth stow-n-go front seats
-New shifter parts from shifter to transmission
-New insulation in walls
-All interior was pulled and cleaned
-new curtains and sliders
-new window tint
-wiper blades
-New Fuel pump and filter.
-Cleaned out stock tank
-New fuel sender unit and resealed fuel tank
-New fuel lines and injector seals.
-New foil delete kit from gowesty, so all the gauges (sans odometer) work
-stock dual battery set up with optima installed with a new power port with gauge.
-New ignition switch
-new ball joints
-New tie rod ends
-New steering rack boots
-New shocks
-New main interstate battery
-New smittybuilt awning and rain gutter brackets from gowesty
-Mercedes wheels with new General AT2's
I'm sure I am forgetting somethings but you get the gist of it.
The only things I see needing to be done right now is the following
-It needs new coil springs since the drivers side has sagged.
-The heater fan doesn't blow, however the fresh air vent blows through the heater core so it warms the van up.
-It has the typical vanagon syndrome issues when you have been driving in hot weather for 4-5 hours. I usually just pull over for a break after and let the van cool for a bit and everything goes back to normal.
-The passenger window is slow and switch for it located on the drivers side no longer works to roll it down.
-The paint and body need some attention, there are dents and dings on it and has failed clear coat. NO RUST.
-The dimmers switch is broken so only the low beams will turn on.
-The gas tank has a dent so when it gets low on gas it will occasionally fuel starve if pointed down a hill or off camber.
I would be interested in a trade for a range rover, LR3 or a 100 series of equal value or with cash on top.
