Offering my 1988 HJ61 VX automatic for sale.
I am selling my HJ61 that has been comprehensively gone through. This is not a “build”. The fuel has not been turned up, wiring has not been hacked, and appears to have a relatively easy life. During my ownership it has been nothing more than a weekend runaround and the only dirt it has seen has been my pasture. It is a very clean but usable original example of a 28 year old truck.

All the usual VX spec – sunroof, suspension seats, air conditioning (works well) power everything, factory radio
Interior I would rate as a 8.5/10 I have tried to photograph the few imperfections (see link below)
Exterior has some clear coat peeling on the flares and door tops, otherwise is very nice (see photos)
I would call this truck 98% rust free, I'm extremely picky about rust I have tried to photograph all problem areas. I have also sprayed the underside and cavity waxed it to slow any further progression.
The truck does have a PTO winch but does not have cable lockers
Old man emu HD front/Medium rears, castor shims, greaseable shackles, bushings and shocks fitted last month
Front end/ hubs rebuilt last year, very few miles since.
All fluids and filters changed within past within past month.
This truck is 24v and has new batteries (fall 2015)
Was purchased from my brother in-law with a spun bearing, the engine has been rebuilt to the following spec:
Replacement crank was sourced – ground 0.25mm over on the mains, standard on the rods. (Engine Australia)
Head checked and reconditioned
Standard sized new pistons (Engine Australia)
New water pump (Engine Australia)
All Toyota gaskets and head bolts used
Hoses renewed
Injectors/turbo checked but were within spec so not replaced
Engine is also fitted with coolant heater and shutdown timer
I am asking 22,500 Canadian (17,844 USD currently) the truck is located in Saskatoon, SK Canada (XYE)
I am not a dealer or export broker so it will be up to the prospective purchaser to research and arrange import/transport but I will be happy to help anyway I can on my end with preparation for export/shipping.
