This slightly modified 1988 Range Rover has 192,000 miles. California registration are good through next month. A buddy bought it for the bumpers and snorkel. We swapped them with stock units and now must sell.
Mechanically, this is problem free. The brakes are the desirable non ABS system. Transfer case is the factory LT230 only installed in the Range Rovers for two years 1987 & 1988. A much more reliable unit over the Borg Warner used on the later model years. The interior is in rough condition but headliner is good. The 32" BFG All Terrain tires are in good shape. For a 29 year old vehicle it is in overall decent shape. Lifted with Old Man Emu Heavy Duty Suspension kit. Surprisingly, the 3.5 motor has pep.
Great for a cheap, solid, running, trail and daily Range Rover Classic. Have you seen what these are selling for now? Crazy money!
The only thing I would consider in the near future is a radiator service. It does not overheat but can get warm when loaded and going up steep hills.
