Hi, Everyone! Up for sale is my 1989 FJ62. This is such an awesome little Cruiser. She’s about as original as they come with stock suspension, 5 chrome wheels, hub ornaments, chrome trim, mud flaps, Toyota head unit, and hand painted blue pin stripes from the factory. Has 280,000 miles and runs freakin awesome. Automatic trans shifts perfectly which is crazy. Not sure if it’s the original but it’s very happy and all gears get along nicely. Has a clean Idaho title and I have the full Carfax to give the new owner.
I bought it from a guy who let it sit for a couple years and never worked on it, and he bought it from a guy who also let it sit for a few years in Montana. This summer I gave her a complete top end rebuild including head gasket, valve cover gasket, valves, valve springs, valve stem seals, valve seats, cleaned up head, head bolts, push rods, rockers, lifters, new spark plugs and wires, coolant flush with new radiator cap and a few hoses, new belts, fuel filter, O2 sensor #1 (for cylinders 1-3) with a new exhaust down pipe from the manifold, new alternator, and a new battery. Everything works as it should. Even the tape deck and rear heater!
I have a new windshield on ice ready to be installed, just waiting until the last minute so it’s perfect. Has a puncture above the rear driver tail light and some areas with rust around the upper/mid body, windshield, and tailgate but no rust on the frame, wheel arches, roof, or lower pinch welds. Mostly it’s just bad paint from Montana winters and the steel underneath it is in decent shape. Interior has a perfect dash, an average driver’s seat, and the rest of it is in great condition.
Price is $10,000.
