1991 4WD 2500 Suburban Question

Today I looked at a 1991 Chevrolet 4WD 2500 Suburban Silverado loaded up 350 TBI, Automatic Overdrive, 4WD and more.

On the front solid axle were dual shocks. The mounts looked factory on both the chassis and the front axle.

I tried an internet search to see if that was a factory option with no luck so I will ask the question here:

Were "Quad Shocks" or whatever you wish to call them on the front axle a factory available option on a 1991 3/4 ton 2500 4WD Suburban?

I had a 91 3/4 ton 4x4 Sub with quad front shocks and a rear locker. I'm sure it was all factory. I purchased it from the original owner in about 95. The truck was bone stock. If I remember right, I also had the window original sticker that listed those items. Unfortunately, it was stolen and never recovered. Thirty years later I wish I still had it

I've owned a few squarebody GM rigs with dual shock setups on the front, it may have been a dealer upgrade, never noticed it listed on any of the RPO build sheets that I can remember.

After going thru some of my old books, I found an RPO code of " Z75 Front Quad Shocks " listed, seems it was a factory option, but may be a dealer option also.

Factory RPO option confirmed on the SPID sticker on the truck.
