I think this was listed on Craigslist as well as here within the last year.........been to South America and back by PO. I wished it had been for sale before I spent over twice the amount on building mine!.............Nice rig!

Argmoo. I emailed the owner Aug 23rd 2016 to be exact! Searched my inbox...It had just returned from a South American journey. This might be a new owner now that bought it from him and is now selling it?? I dont know.

When I first saw it listed was on Craigslist under RVs here in Southern California if I remember 26K? Something like that. With that one owner a year ago. So I think the new buyer also took it south and is now recouping his costs. Thats what it seems?

I searched and searched and searched and found a great Type 2 ambulance 4x4 powerstroke clean with 107K miles. I think for 33K you could find some type of 4x4 ambulance and do some mods yourself cheaper. Yes this is a turnkey rig and is super cool. And they have done a ton of work to it. Basically it comes down to turn key on this, or buy and do some nice mods yourself on another rig. Good luck man.

In my experience doing the type of Mods present in this rig can add up quickly unless you do them yourself and don't put much of a $ value on your time. I will add that I don't have any personal experience with this diesel......and I would definitely want to take a nice test drive and have a good diesel mechanic check it out. Mine has a 7.3 Powerstroke and after spending 3 months in Baja this year I feel it has plenty of power....and we weighed in at 14500 lbs loaded Actually once you get south of the border you are rarely going to be driving above 50-60 mph......so for South of the border travel I think the IDI 7.3 would be fine. It seems that in general the Ambo conversions are undervalued .....especially compared to Sportsmobiles. (I had one prior to buying the ambulance and sold it one day for the asking price!)

Cleansweep. Yes I totally agree. Costs can get steep fast and depending on how skilled you are youll have to pay someone else to turn a wrench/cut build etc. I also think the idi diesels are great too. Yes sportsmobiles are pricey. But you pay for that name not just a DYI. Good luck argmoo
