1993 YJ Sahara on the way.

It looks like I am going to be an owner of a 1993 YJ Sahara. 5 speed. 52000 miles. Soft top. This will be towed behind the F 450 Flatbed camper. What can I do to the Jeep to make it perform better? Any thing I need to look for? It is stock all the way around. It rides alot better the I remember my 1981 Renegade and the 1975 CJ 5. Is a 4 inch lift to much? I am not going extreme in any way. Maybe 31 inch tires. If it clears the wife, I can get it the middle of the week. What is a good way to sell the idea to the wife. She did say the next vehicle had to be a convertible. Does this count??

To run 30s, add TJ flares and trim the sheetmetal. You asked what to do to perform better. At what?

There are a lot of easy things you can do and not that expensive. Drive and learn the vehicle, your driving capabilities and the vehicles il-capabilities. Fix as you go.

To make the ride better, remove the track bars. Hang them from the frame. If you don't like it, reattach. Track bars bind the leaf suspension and make the rode ride rough.
