This 1996 Ford F-250 HD XLT is an extended-cab 4×4 pickup that was delivered new to Florida and has remained registered in Florida while moving to North Central Vermont 1 year ago. The truck in metallic red over gray cloth. It is powered by a 7.5-liter V8 linked with a four-speed automatic transmission, a dual-range transfer case, and a limited-slip differential. Additional features include a receiver hitch, air conditioning, cruise control, a stock Ford cassette head unit, a sliding rear window, dual fuel tanks, and 16″ HD steel wheels with caps on one side. This F-250 now has 202k miles and is offered with a Florida title. A snow plow (used one winter on a private driveway with no salt) is optional with the sale of the truck.

You'll notice plenty of cosmetic imperfections throughout, including peeling clear-coat, discolored headlight lenses and cracked dashboard plastics. The original windshield is delaminating at the edges but otherwise keeps the weather out. In-fact, all the glass in this truck is original and this truck shows no evidence of accidents of any kind. The underbody is free of any significant corrosion and the frame looks perforation-free.

This classic F-250 runs and drives very well, accelerating, braking and turning much better than a 200k mile truck would be expected to. In the last year, the current owner has spend more than $15k on mechanical work, including replacing the entire cooling system, fueling, new 4WD hubs, ignition, undercoating, A/T tires and brake hydraulic systems. The truck rides very well without any of the offensive rattles and creaks of older F-Series trucks. A slight wander off center indicates the need for a more precise alignment.

This truck is an ideal candidate for a budget overland expedition/camping truck. The 7.5l V8 offers 400 lb/ft of effortless torque and the HD suspension offers great control when towing or off-roading, loaded. Parts are easily accessible most anywhere in North, Central and South America. Build something rugged and fun off this truck and make no apologies for the appearance.

I will be adding more information in the coming weeks. Please contact me with all questions. I can provide a running, driving and walk-around video, upon request. I can assist with delivery, if required. I look forward to speaking with you.
