Hey Everyone,
This is an ad for my 96 Land Cruiser Prado I am selling in Denver:
What you are looking at is a Land Cruiser Prado, which is the more refined, street-oriented version of the Toyota Land Cruiser 70 series. If you think this Prado looks familiar, it's because the rugged Lexus GX series was based off this design and sold in the United States, where the rest of the world got the diesel-powered, Toyota badged Land Cruiser Prado.
This truck has dark blue paint with silver lower panels that make it feel very 90's right from the start. Excellent ground clearance from the factory, these trucks were built with a tall, athletic stance that will turn heads. The front bumperette has Bosch fog lights attached to it with an additional lower bull bar, as well as a two-way parking mirror located on the front lip of the hood. Toyota factory JDM rain guards are installed over each window, and amazing Toyota original 5 spoke alloy wheels wrapped with Bridgestone Dueler A/T's white letters round out this off road truck. A Rhino-Rack Pioneer Platform is mounted to the factory rails ready for a ton of gear or maybe a roof top tent? All in all, this is a very capable, fantastic daily driver.
A straightforward climate control system, storage drawer and gear pocket are located up front along with a small analog clock. ABS braking and dual airbags are included, this being the first year Toyota made those safety features standard. The center console has a great place for storing your phone, along with 4 cup holders and a large storage area with a flip top lid. The backseats are cushy and comfortable. The cargo area is large on its own but can be made significantly larger if you fold the rear seats forward.
The interior of the vehicle is outfitted in comfortable, sturdy fabric with a fun blue and purple pattern on each of the seats. Standard instrument cluster up front, amazing visibility all around and a functioning sunroof above your head. Located front and center is a three pod information gauge with digital iterations of an inclinometer, pitch/roll indicator and a compass. In addition it can display temperature, elevation, barometric pressure, digital speedometer (in kilometers of course) and a timer. An upgraded Pioneer touchscreen radio is Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capable in addition to sporting Bluetooth, USB and AM/FM.
The KZJ90 series of Land Cruiser Prados are excellent, incredibly engineered vehicles. Fast enough to comfortably sit on the highway at 75 miles per hour all day, absolutely capable to trudge through whatever Colorado off road trails you send its way, and overbuilt to last decades into hard use. This one is a clean, more-uncommon variant as it is equipped with only two rows of seats giving you more cargo storage in the rear. So it would make a great overland vehicle as well as hauling up to 5 people throughout the week around town.
