I was looking for over a year for an affordable 4x4 van before I landed on this one. Factory Quigley conversion, was a law enforcement van before I picked it up. Plan was to build out a camper. Started out with a complete engine rebuild, Turbo, HPOP, Injector, Water pump, all sensors, larger alternator, belts, pulleys, Fuel filter assembly, valve gaskets, injector harness and the whole nine yards. Next focused on the suspension, with Bilstein's all round, new tie rods, U-Joints, Diff and T-case seals, all wheel bearings, Ball joints. Finally the fluids - T case, Engine oil with Amsoil dual filter setup, New fuel tank (Old tank had the notorious interior lining flaking off), In-line billet fuel filter. And to top off, new ST MAXX 235-85-16's and Expo Vans seat adapters for Toyota Sienna seats (Wheels and adapters not installed yet).
Mileage: 167,000
Photos are prior to all the parts being installed, but the cosmetic condition of the van remains the same. The interior is a blank canvas. Van is currently in Huntington, WV in my mechanic's shop. I moved to NYC midway through the project. I'll be in WV the 25th to 28th of Oct for those interested in seeing / picking up.
Why am I selling: Initially me and my wife were planning a 6 month travel through Pan-american. But now I realized we have different outlooks on "Life being an adventure". She's wed to her job and dislikes the uncertainty such a travel would bring and I on the other hand don't live to work. I believe if one door shuts, another will open, we can always figure something out. Anyways, long story short, the van is the casualty in the midst of this. I sincerely hope someone who desires to travel, but is on a budget can pick this up and show it places.
