1997 80 series with Diesel Toys engine and transmission swap.
This is a Toyota HD-FTE direct injection turbo diesel engine with a 5 speed automatic trans from a 1/2 cut 2002 Land Cruiser from Australia. This conversion was performed in 2016 @256,xxx miles on the truck. The donor vehicle had 60,xxx KM.
*The North American spec truck has factory triple lockers
*Old Man Emu 2.5" lift, TRD rims with 33" Pro Comp At tires
*Bump It Off Road rear bumper with tire carrier, ladder, (2) jerry can holder with shovel and high lift jack
*ARB front bumper with 12K Ironman winch with synthetic line
*Bowfin roof rack with RhinoRack 270 degree awning.
*Third row seating, all seats are in good condition.
The Diesel Toys conversion now has about 20K miles and has performed amazingly well with alot of additional power, quiet operation and fuel economy above 20 mpg. The vehicle has been used as intended and is in good working order and ready for adventure. The truck is wife approved and does not require watching gauges and operates as a factory vehicle should,
There are the usual pinstripes and a small crack in the dash, also the power front seat gears need to be replaced. You can search Youtube "diesel toys 80 series" to hear what it sounds like.
$42,500 asking price (this is what Diesel Toys charges for the conversion with your donor 80

I’ve owned a Diesel Toys truck (Tacoma w/ a 1KZ-TE) before and can attest the quality of their workmanship. Good luck with the sale!

Such a rad rig I was sad to see it go 5 years ago. For anyone possibly interested in bringing into California and wondering about it being a diesel and smog...it was titled and registered in CA as a diesel so smog exempt...don't ask how I slipped that one past the DMV.
