SOLD
Summary- For sale is my 97 Discovery. I am emotionally attached to this disco, but can't realistically hold on to this given I am moving to the west coast. This could be a cost effective moderate trail ring for someone, or could be a great parts rig for a bargain hunter. The truck is in Central New Jersey. I do not want to or have time to part this out, so I'd rather sell it all together. I tried to put together the good and the bad as best as I could, but I could have missed some things. Below are some pictures, but I'll take some more this weekend that show all the problem areas as well as the interior.

About the Truck:
I am the second owner of the disco and have owned it for about 3 years (which is when all the accessories were added). It has never left me stranded and taken me to Maine, Vermont and other places on a consistent basis.
Good:
- High Quality Accessories
- Strangely, does not leak oil
- Serviced regularly under my watch and by the good people at British Autoworks in the Bronx
- Drives well
- New O2 Sensors added at 90k miles
- New Brakes and Rotors at 98k miles
- New Headliner
- Interior is in decent shape
Bad:
- RUST- driver's floor pan, some in wheel wells (door jams seem ok for now) and probably more that I can't see.
- Body Damage- It looks like someone backed into a garage or something prior to my ownership, leading to some dents and a mismatched paint job on the rear roof.
- Faded Paint- There is a nice Patina on the truck, but the passenger side front fender and hood are noticeable flat relative to the shine on the rest of the truck.
- Passenger side rear window regulator needs to be fixed
- Cargo Door lock actuator or spring needs to be replaced as it does not open with central locking (can be opened via key though).
- Cooling System- The truck is running a little hot right now (city driving around 200-205 degrees, but sometimes it can read 215 degrees. My suspicion is that there is air in the system and it just needs to be burped, but I don't know for sure. Additionally, I think that the heater core has collapsed, but does not leak- according to my mechanic.
- ABS system on these trucks is a joke, so I pulled the fuse (leading to ABS light on).
- Rear Sway Bar- While wheeling the rear sway bar bent the flimsy weld on the frame, so I ditched the sway bar. Handling is fine and not noticeable but under extreme articulation the OME springs can be dislodged.
- Updated Stereo, but in order for the existing speakers to work, I had to bypass the existing amp and the sub does not work.
- Rear Hydraulic Step is broken, so I've zip tied it up.
