Hello, I am attempting to mount solar panels and storage rack bars on the roof of my 1997 Northstar. Does anyone have photos and specific knowledge of the roof framing layout so I can make sure I anchor through and or into those framing boards. Any info would greatly help. I searched forums numerous times with no results.
thanks.

I’d guess it’s like most all Northstar popups.

There is 3/4” plywood 3” wide laid flat on the perimeter of the roof.

The only other place there is wood is around the roof vents.

The rest of the roof is really thin (.035??) aluminum over styrofoam with the ceiling board(like 1/8” Masonite type stuff) inside.

This is my 2000 TC 800 , all the lag bolts go into the plywood except the front inner ones on both sides, the just go into the sheet metal and foam. The angles are all bedded in 4100 caulk/adhesive
