Already in USA LEGALLY, only 6 in USA I am aware of (I currently have 2)

4-wheel steering, onboard tire inflation/deflation, front, rear, center diff locks, currently in troop-carrier form. Portal Axles, air-brake hookup in rear. Canvas top & bows good condition, clear plastic windows need attention.

Air compressor. 4 minor rust spots, no rust underneath or in structural areas. An absolute joy to drive - anywhere you can imagine.

100% stock (demilitarized) from Japanese Defense Forces. Needs nothing mechanical.

Civilized on the road, animal where no trail exists. Fantastic start to an overland, or enjoy as-is.

In Allentown, PA

$25,000

A couple quick questions - did you read the forum rules for the for sale section? As you mentioned the on-road manners of this vehicle, can you speak to how you are able to register this vehicle for use on public roadways in the US?

I did read the forum rules, and I also did make contact with site administrator. If I am in any way not following the rules for the sales section, please advise, point out, and I will correct immediately.

Fun? I'm simply hoping this is civilized. Come see, come drive, come look at all paperwork. You like it, you buy. Very Simple. It is in Allentown, PA

Mileage? More pics? Some links to more vehicle description? As already asked, an explanation or proof of how this has legally been road cleared in the US? All things that would help your cause here. This is about as sub-par as a for sale ad gets, especially for something this unknown/unusual.

Spent most of my life in Allentown and the Lehigh Valley (and also glad I left). Note: that anecdote has nothing to do with my above points.

Mileage is 155,000km, I have a zillion pics here, from loading in Japan, unloading here, and re-assembly - Remember, TWO vehicles are shown in this album - https://photos.app.goo.gl/BL9MurjgqK3vn5vH9 I apologize for the sub-par ad - I have no expectations of selling off a classified ad, I expect a serious buyer would come look and drive it, review all paperwork. I also expect anyone interested would know exactly what it is. I have no "cause", it is a classified ad

Looks like they both were trashed/needed to loaded by a forklift. Details to the restoration and or pics of just the vehicle you have listed here would be nice. IMO it's on the seller to present the item for sale, not on the buyer to have to sift through an album that has two different (yet similar) vehicles and try to tell the narrative.

Shrug, I'm not gonna buy the thing but just trying to offer some helpful advice.

From the eBay ad for those who are interested. This is a copy and paste. Looking out for each of you...

Registering this Vehicle:
This 199X Toyota Mega Cruiser BXD-10 is being sold as is / where is with a Bill-Of-Sale for Off-Road Use Only! This is the same process used whenever a surplus HUMVEE (HMMWV) is sold by GovPlanet.com, the official online marketplace sanctioned by the U.S. Government for selling surplus HUMVEE (HMMWV). We are not familiar with the process of making these vehicles street legal -- or even if it is possible to do so – so please do not ask. That said, the folks at Dirt Legal (www.dirtlegal.com) provide a 100% guarantee that they can street legalize any off-road vehicle. (https://www.dirtlegal.com/blog/2018/6/19/how-to-make-a-humvee-street-legal).

This vehicle is not going to sell to someone who already does not know what one is. Drove it to NJ today to OK 4WD, where they ALL knew what it was - very satisfying. Someone walking up saying "Nice Hummer" is not the market for this vehicle. Y'all know that.

Legitimate question - since you mention driving this on the road, can this vehicle legally be registered to drive on the road?
