I think I found my new truck, so this toyota has gotta go. Thinking about a camper and the 4cylinder, as solid as it is, just isnt the best candidate...
Its a 1998 tacoma with 192k on the 4cyl mated to a 5 speed manual.
First things first...
It is a rebuilt title from a hit to the front left fender, but it was repaired correctly and you wont notice it in either appearance or performance.
The truck tracks perfectly straight, there is no excess wind noise in the cabin when driving on the highway. Interior is quite clean, seats had covers for most of their life, but there is a small rip on drivers side. Body is really straight and paint is good. Definitely some paint chipping on the front end from rocks and whatnot, and minor surface rust on the tailgate. Very solid frame, no rust problems. Get about 18mpg in town and 20 on the highway. AC blows cold. Darn near brand new 31" tires, 95% tread. ARB bumper in great shape too, no paint chipping.
Recently replaced rear leafs and exhaust manifold.
Overall very clean for a nearly twenty year old truck.
I have a new carpet for it, but it is not installed. Truck currently doesnt have a carpet in it.
One of the P.O.'s was a smoker, so there is a hint of that if its parked in the hot sun for a long time. Its really not bad though, unless you are really really sensitive to it.
Located in Bozeman Montana.
It currently needs to have new front brake rotors installed (warped, but definitely driveable) and the carpet installed. I will get them installed eventually and list the car locally for 6500, but I would sell it right now without those things done for $5500 to an expo member just to avoid the headache.
I think thats a pretty reasonable deal. Im not in any rush to sell, and I am absolutely firm on the price. Its a lot of truck for the money, and this is a solid runner.
Will update ad with more photos later...
