Imported around 8 years ago from Germany after being hand-picked there by the owner of Dr. Björn's Auto. (vanagonwestfaliaparts.com) and owned by friends, then by me, the last two years.

Known issues:

Some rust, mostly at rear hatch, I plan to have this repaired before sale. Also a few spots in windshield area. Body has been kept up well over the years but it is not a "rust free" vehicle. It is however very solid and looks quite good - but not so beautiful that you don't want to take if off-road. :) This is one rugged old T4, it can take you most places you need to go in any weather, and can of course be upgraded for more serious off-road use.

May need bearing in driveshaft to rear, or wheel bearing(s) - will be checked ASAP. Just completed a 4000+ km trip from Ontario to BC (have done this over and back twice in the last few years, van was very reliable).

There is a diesel-fired Espar engine heater (factory installed) which is operating but needs a glow plug. I have not needed it but it would be easily put back into operation.

There is a factory-installed diesel Espar interior heater. It has not been in operation at least since the van was imported. It does not operate (no power to display), it has never been needed, and whatever it may need has not been diagnosed at this time.

Reason for sale: Not needed. I have the same year of van as a California Coach (non-Syncro), which we use more. I purchased the van for use in eastern Canada the last few years. It is not needed any more for that purpose, so I drove it back to BC to prepare for sale, although it is a tough call which one to sell; we like them both, for different reasons!
