Hey guys I have a few questions about the charging system (isolated solinoid wiring ) on my 1999 ford jayco class b . Is this a good catagory to post it? Of is somewhere else on the forum? Thanks

I have been working on my 1999 ford jayco class b campervan. For so reason the isolated solinoid was not getting power. So I ran a new wire from the ignition power (10 amp fuse). So when engine running axillary battery is charging, when engine not running chassis battery won't be drained. Now when trying to trace the existing solinoid power wire running along the inside floor of van it looked like the wire (blue) when through somthing like a transformer. Anyone know what that is for? And if it needed? Thanks

Also this is the diagram on the isolated solinoid cover. Under the rear seat. If it helps

Another picture of the actual isolated solinoid. Green wire to axillary battery. White wire to power supply. Red wire to chassis battery. And small orange/black wire to ignition. And it's grounded also. And both battery and power supply wires are protected with 40 amp circuit breakers. what do you guys think? Thanks in advance

I just noticed there is a power systems section on this forum, maybe a moderator can transfer my thread over there? Thanks

Probably a relay.

The way you have it now is fine - that's just a standard split-charge relay setup.

Thanks for the reply. I will see if I can get a pic of that relay or transformer I was talking about.
