This is an incredible overland expedition vehicle. It is a 2001 with a turbo diesel motor. Has approx 198000 miles. 5 spd manual transmission, ( I had the trans rebuilt at Seattle's Mitsubishi Fuso in 2022) manual locking hubs, 4h and 4l. Cd player, idle control, ac, heat. Everything works.
This rig will climb a tree in 4l lol. I have had for 4 years. Ran all over the west with it. Ski hills, camping, beach, etc! Now for the RV section
Everything works, AC, heat, fridge, oven, range, shower. I put in a natures head composting toilet (1 thousand dollar toilet) This way I could go to the bathroom in the middle of winter without having to worry about running water. This toilet is amazing, if you don't believe me, just google it. I redid the interior floors, paint, cabinets, shower, lights. The only thing left to do would be to update the upholstery, but there are rips or tears in it currently. You will not be dissappointed in this vehicle. Way more room and capabilities than a sprinter or sportsmobile. You will be the talk of any parking lot. It is a magnificent vehicle with loads of life left in it. Take it to baja and live happily ever after, or chase powder storms throughout the mountains. Give me an email and I will likely get back to you quickly.
Specifications
Truck is a FG 639
3.9L diesel motor
Completely original body, gears and motor
5 speed manual transmission
Rebuilt transmission at Portland Mitsubishi Fuso less than 1,000 miles ago
New Clutch, flywheel, pilot bearing, rear main seal and trans fluid less than 1,000 miles ago
I'm not sure the gearing but it is very low. Will crawl up anything
Stock suspension. Stiff, but managable
I left the stock tire size 235/85/r16 and chose not to get super singles. The reason was I watched my friend with super singles lose so much power pulling grades on the highway. I was always way ahead after any incline at highway speeds.
6 new tires. 4 yokohama m/s tires on rear
2 new BFG ko2 on front, also a brand new spare KO2
Swing down spare tire carrier that can go either in front receiver or rear receiver
LED light bar
Upgraded center console for stuff
CD player with Satellite radio
Batteries installed in spring 2017
New Starter installed in spring 2017
Class 4 receiver on back
Welded to the receiver is a cargo rack in back. It is a bit of a tail and I have considered lifting it up a few inches for better departure angle, but it holds 2 25gal propane tanks and honda generator.
Camper
19 foot fleetwood wilderness welded on cross beams to frame
This limits articulation some, but trust me when I say that this rig still can sidehill with the best of them due to the rear dually
Everything works. Heater, oven, fridge, ac, shower, sinks, hot water heater, all cabinets and drawers open and close as they should
40 Gal fresh water tank
40 gal grey water tank
Black tank has been capped and I don't use it
Natures Head Composting Toilet
LED interior lights
Loads of storage inside camper
Dinette folds into another sleeping area
upper cabinet folds out into another sleeping area for a small child
This rig isn't luxury, it is big, loud, ugly and ready for your life of dispersed camping. One of the best thing about it, when people see it parked in the middle of the desert or forest they tend to not come camp right next to you. Its abrasive, its sketchy, it screams "give me space"
I would not be getting rid of it, but I recently moved, purchased a farm and priorities have changed. It has almost 200k miles but 2 seperate mechanics, one in Bend and one in Boise area have both checked this rig out. It is mechanically very sound. I've towed snowmobiles with it, I've slept in many ski resort parking lots (thanks to the natures head toilet, I don't worry about water in the tanks in the winter. If you wanted the tanks and pipes could be insulated but I chose to go the better route for winter and eliminate any potential for failure by removing toilet and replacing with composting toilet.
Located in Boise Price is $40,000 OBO
Willing to trade
