Hello all, this is my first post here so I may not be privy to all the nuances. I have a beautiful Montero 3.5L for sale and would like to put it in front of people understanding of the platform.

2001 Mitsubishi Montero 3.5L
132k original miles
Clean title
Ice cold A/C & hot heat
Heated front seats
3rd row seating - 7 passenger
Pros
- all maintenance up to date
- timing belt was replaced but I’m struggling to make out the mileage on sticker.
- new intake manifold gasket, new valve cover gaskets, new spark plugs / gaskets, new EGR gasket, new throttle body gasket, new thermostat/gasket, new thermostat housing, rebuilt cluster (temp gauge was reading hot on a cold start and leds were fading out), new brakes and rotors, throttle body cleaning, catalytic converter cleaning service, and fuel system treatment service.
- Touchscreen head unit with BT, CarPlay, and reverse camera.
- Leather is in very very great condition only flaw is a tiny “hole” in the leather on the side of driver seat like most but it is small.
- (4) aftermarket steel wheels (1) oem 6 spoke on spare.
- she fires up first time and everytime cold or hot.
- exterior paint is extremely healthy and clean.
- I am sure I’m forgetting plenty of things on this “Pros” list as i was very maintenance forward with this.
Cons
- previous owner did bed liner on the trim all around which is not to my taste but people have liked it and the look it gives it.
- small amount of overspray on body from bed liner which I’m 100% certain can be buffed off.
- very small hole in driver seat side.
- missing Montero badging on fenders ($15 from Luso)
- needs gas door spring clip (also $15 from luso)
- 1 tire is starting to weather crack. 3 tires are date coded 2020 (tread is really nice on these) and the weather cracking one is dated 2018 so that adds up.
Reason for selling:
I purchased this one because I believed I was getting a good deal on it, whether or not that is true is up for debate. I own a 2005 montero with 225k on it and currently it’s my wife’s daily driver. My intention was to buy her this one with 100k less miles and start a new build on a “better” canvas. I brought it home she said it was beautiful but she was absolutely not interested in getting rid of her ‘05. So here I am with an extra Montero in the driveway and no one to love it the way it should be loved. I attacked any and all maintenance on this one as much as I could while trying to convince the wife this was the better route… To no avail. So with it being such a good example of the Montero platform I really think someone here will do just that and maybe even post a build thread with her which would be amazing.
