It has taken me a while to write this add for obvious reasons. This is my 2001 RHD HZJ79 Series Land Cruiser, imported from Japan in 2023. Powered by the legendary Toyota 1HZ 4.2L naturally aspirated inline-six diesel, known for its durability, longevity, and mechanical simplicity (often running well past 500,000 km with routine maintenance). Built to tour with my family with a strong focus on OEM aesthetics and attention to detail. Previous life was a Japanese prefecture fire marshal unit. Imported with 6,500 km; currently ~50,000 km (will increase as it’s my daily driver). Includes factory Toyota manuals, service logs, tools, jack, etc.
History
We’re changing direction due to a growing family (recently welcomed our third). I’d love to keep it, but it’s time to pass the torch to someone who will use and appreciate it the way it deserves. I’m not in a rush and I’m happy to wait for the right owner.

This truck becomes eligible for US import under the 25-year rule in March 2026. Current plan is to have it on display (and for sale) at the 2026 PNW Overland Expo in Oregon at the Summit Expedition Trucks booth, and I’m happy to coordinate pickup there.
A lot of time and attention has gone into this build (my wife can attest), right down to handmade imported leather keychains from Japan.
Happy to answer any questions and provide specific photos/videos for serious buyers. An absolute pleasure to own and drive.
