SOLD 8/30/14***I put this ad up about a month ago and then go cold feet about selling it, they are just so hard to find like this these days, so I put a few people off who expressed interest...well, I have finally committed to selling it for good. For those that had expressed interest I apologize for my previous waffling on selling it...I originally posted the ad too hastily.***
Well, I looked for a 1st gen 4x4 Tacoma Dbl Cab for a couple years and finally found this one last month. I was getting ready to start a mild build out when my wife says instead of sleeping in a tent (I was planning on a bed rack and tent or off-road trailer with tent) she would really like a camping van that will hold a porta potty so I'm going to put this up for sale (would consider trades as well obviously interested in a van of some sort, I can add cash if necessary for the right van).
Southern truck, no rust, no major accidents (has all original body panels with VIN tags and I can provide a current car fax I pulled, it shows one minor accident last year), interior is in good shape with no tears or big stains on seats or carpets (original floor mats also in good condition), no funny smells. This truck has NO issues. No check engine lights, no problems that need attention. EVERYTHING works. This was a one family car prior to my purchase (original owner had it for the first 100K and his brother in-law had it for the last 20K). I have replaced the struts on the cap window (so it will stay up, the old ones were worn), replaced the air filter, and I had my mechanics change the oil and give it a once over looking for any issues. They found none. The gentlemen I bought it from said the tires and brakes had been done in the last 10K miles. The condition of the tires bears that out and my mechanic said the brakes checked out with "many miles left on them."
This truck drives great down the road. It tracks completely straight, no pulling to either side, both on the highway, and while braking. 4x4 works and so does the locking differential, though I'd like to point out that if you crawl under this truck you will see as I did this truck has likely never been off-road...I don't think it's even seen a dirt road.
The worst things I can say about this truck is that has it's fair share of parking lot door dings/scratches (small dent on front bumper you can see in the pics), and a small pinky fingernail sized star on the windshield. In other words, nothing out of the ordinary for a 12 year-old truck. Details:
120,XXX miles
4x4
Limited (honestly, I don't know what that means for these)
TRD Package (rear e-locker, bilstein shocks, upgraded coils (front), leaf springs (rear), front skid plate)
Factory tow package (frame mounted hitch, 4-plug wiring and transmission cooler)
Leer bed cap (locks and I have the key)
Bed liner (not spray on, the plastic insert dealers usually install)
Power Windows/Door Locks
Alarm with remote start
ABS
A/C (cold)
Sunroof (Installed by the dealer when new I was told. We have had several torrential downpours since I bought it and it has not leaked)
Running boards
Timing belt and water pump replaced at 98K miles, documented on the Carfax.
I have the title in hand. It is in the last owners name because I have not gotten around to registering/titling it yet. Here are some pics...let me know if you have any questions or want any specific pics taken. Located in Atlanta, GA. $14,800
