2003 Ram Van 1500. Started as conversion van that I built to be a camper van. I added a Fantastic Fan, 200 watts solar with 2 panels that tilt and lock, 2 Trojan T105 golf cart batteries in a custom built vented box, lights are wired and working as well as two 12 volt power outlets, and has an 83 quart ARB fridge. There’s an inlet for shore power, 30 amp IOTA power converter, 1500 watt Centec power inverter. Just put in a new 700 CCA starting battery, and new Gabriel shocks, the rears are air shocks.
Has 4 newer tires with about 6K miles , and 20 new lugnuts, I have also added a new factory 16 inch rim for a spare along with a nearly new spare tire. I changed out the driver seat and installed a new Cerullo XR driver side seat, which makes driving really fun. I wired up a Tachometer and transmission temp. gauge, with the sensor in the sump. And there’s an ARB 2500 Touring awning, which has been deployed 2 times since I bought it 4 months ago.
Some other things I've done are: installed new ignition switch and key cylinder, Hanging cargo nets for soft storage, fitted Reflectix for all windows, Black out curtains for side and rear doors and front windshield, refinished headlights and a bunch of little adjustments and fixes that I can't even remember.
This van is not a fixer or partially finished project. This is a turn key camper with all the extra little conveniences already researched, planned, and made or installed. All the items that make up this camper are glued and screwed or bolted down. There are no flying projectiles to take off your head in an accident.
Engine is 318V8with 159K miles and I just did a tune up kit on 11-14-16. ALL fluids have been changed within last 500 miles. I have both the Factory Service manuals and a Haynes manual to go along with this sale. I built this for boondocking, but it's pretty stealthy for those who like urban camping ie: ghettodocking. Just passed smog September 1 2016.
Everything works great and as I had planned, Only problem is I realize that at my age being able to stand up is VERY important.
