Rare 2003 Sprinter 4x4 short wheelbase (118") Swiss ambulance converted to very unique little camper. It is all factory 4x4, full-time with center and rear lockers. Sprintshift transmission, which is an automated manual transmission, shifted and clutched using servos. It drives great and everything works - BUT the engine needs work. Same engine as used in the 2001-2003 USA Sprinter: OM612, 5-cyl 2.7 liter CDI. It has a cracked piston, so can only be driven a block away and back. It will need to be towed or trailered! So no, you cannot get in and drive away. It's a compact camper with 2-burner propane stove, sink, fold-out foam bed / sofa, 240V AC, Espar D4 diesel furnace, tons of storage (most of which is the original ambulance cabinets so very strong!), small compressor fridge/cooler, aux battery system and solar panels, pop-up skylight, even a motorcycle carrier on the back. Interior height 5' 10". This vehicle was built and owned previously by a Swiss couple who traveled the world with it, unfortunately a piston cracked and therefore they couldn't continue the travels with it. This should be a routine repair for a knowledgeable Sprinter mechanic. Or replace with a rebuilt engine. Mileage is around 200,000. NOTE: this is is being sold with all Swiss paperwork from the original owner, NO US title. Message me for more details. Asking $10K, located in Fort Rock Oregon, an hour SE of Bend.
