2004 Land Rover Discovery II

Super clean inside and out. Ready for hauling kids to soccer practice -OR- better yet, kitting out as a cherry overland rig.

Replaced original (slipped bearing in bottom end) with engine refurbished by County Rove in Portland, Oregon. Here's what they had to say about the engine refurb:
"Its a 4.6L V8 from a P38 Range Rover which are more sound blocks than the DII 4.6L blocks. . .thoroughly cleaned/gone through:

1) Machine/decked heads according to spec/tolerance, port/polish, new stem seals and head bolts
2) New gaskets, o-rings, seals (including front/rear mains)
3) New timing chain, sprocket, gear and water pump

All work was performed out of the vehicle, on an engine stand."

Swapped out at 110,841 miles
Current mileage: 111,742

Just back from a 20 day rafting trip through the Grand Canyon - apologies for any missed correspondence. The Disco is still for sale.

Do both sunroofs work? Any grinding noise? Do they leak?

3 Amigos - or were they vanquished when the new engine went in?

In and out of 4lo smoothly?
