Any idea what this extra tall box is for? It’s got a “room” in the back with a bench and then a second door that leads into the command post. With pass through to the cab. Would make a great mobile office/sauna...

If only this was a 4x4. Thats a cool box. Thinner and taller than the normal ambulance box.

Wow... that is SUPER tempting/unique.

6'+ interior standing height in the box (I'd have to imagine), no 6.0L/modern diesel crap to worry about, narrow box... checks a lot of boxes for me. Bummer that it's DRW AND 2x4... but being the truck platform vs. van platform, both should be a relatively straight-forward swap. Also ridiculously low mileage. I'd guess it was some type of mobile command vehicle based on the seat inside. Wonder how long it spent sitting since it's an '05 with such low mileage.

Yeah the value is in the box. 4x4 conversion might be worth it but a bigger cab would be nice. Would be a big shuffle to buy this and then swap the box over to a 4x4 extended or crew cab pickup. Then sell the original pickup. Would probably be worth it though!

Any thoughts on this one? It seems good, I wonder why it hasn't sold yet. It is 10-11 hours from my house, so a real commitment to go look at it in person.

The Pruitt Truck sales one has been sitting for well over a month, according to someone on a Ambulance Conversion Facebook group that says he drives by it all the time. I looked at it and noticed that the box is split into two rooms. Given that and lack of 4x4 and I stopped looking. On a positive note, I think those v10s can go the miles. Recently, I have seen only three listed on GovDeals.com and they ranged from 300k to 550k miles.

Oh that’s weird how he had the price on the F550 going way up, and then just totally dropped it for a quick sale. Cool looking lab though. The windows across the back are nice. Also a bigger box than the Pruitt one, and side entry door is good. More RV like for sure.

It would probably be fairly easy to remove the wall and door on the Pruitt one to make it one big room. I like that the Pruitt one has the double back doors, that adds a whole lot of utility to a giant box.
