2005 Ford Expedition Build.....

I have owned everything from 90's F150's, F250's to Ford Conversion vans and I have built them all for camping, exploring and hunting/long range shooting. They were all 2wd and none of them had the clearance or comfort I was looking for!

That's when I found a 2005 1 owner with only 105K last year. My goal was to build a great all around work vehicle / weekend camping rig. With a 3/2 lift it had a ton of clearance, which I never had with the Conversion vans. I plan on doing all work including the fabrication!

Here's my plans.......
Ready lift 3/2 lift *DONE
Wheels & tires.... Raptor wheels & Toyo 285/75/17 *DONE
Rear interior sleep platform with drawers for work *DONE
Custom high clearance front bumper *IN PROGRESS
Custom roof rack for storage & possible RTT *IN PROGRESS
Custom side ladder for roof rack access
Custom motorcycle carrier for my Honda XR650L
Custom rear bumper with tire carrier
Also want a few performance upgrades...Exhaust, intake kit and performance chip

Here are a few pics.....

I really like your minimalist bumper design, looks really cool and changes the look dramatically!

Thanks, I am really happy with the bumper and the roof rack is growing on me. I figure once I get the ARB awning mounted to it I will be even happier!!

In looking at full size roof rack build where I can put kids tent on top with limb lifters most of the trails out here are tree covered

Looking good.

What do you think about painting your lower door cladding to match the new bumper? That faded grey plastic looks like poo.
