2005 Subaru Forester

Just purchased a 2005 forester 110000 on the odometer. Its gonna be a daily driver, commuter and support vehicle for mountain bike, kayak and other family adventures. Will see fireroads, freeways and backwoods. I don't see it doing any major off road or anything than gear hauler for camping, in other words will carry ground tent, bags, cooler and campstove, life jackets helmets paddles etc. Have Thule bike and kayak rack for roof, what else does it need?

Also mechanically it has been maintained, I know its history as nothing more than a mall crawler, timing belt was replaced at 100000. What should I do immediately to assure it is safe reliably daily driver then how should I outfit it?

Will post pictures when I take delivery on 4/30.

Front and rear diff service. At fluid and your good to go. Never drive it hot, and consider anything over middle guage getting hot. The only real weak spot is cooling capacity in hot weather and climbs. Out side of that great rig.
