69,000 original miles
$39,000
Posting to gauge interest in my camper van project. I bought a little over a year ago from Bryce at Kansas City Sprinters and had shipped out the Washington.
The van has a Clean title
69,000 original miles
Excellent cap dance test
Mechanically rock solid
There was some small superficial rust when I got it. ALL rust was ground down + hit with Mastercoat rust treatment. The entire interior was then painted with Mastercoat rust proof paint + sound deadener. The exterior was done with raptor truck bed liner (inc door jambs). It looks great and is incredibly durable. This includes the removal of the rubber windshield gasket, cleaning, sanding, rust treating, raptor to this susceptible area. You will never have any rust problems with this vehicle.
New bilstein rear shocks
5 New Romac cobra 16x6.5 wheels + 215/85r16 Firestone destination xt tires. This is the lightest + tallest wheel/tire you can run on these vans without a front lift. 58lbs each total. I had to do some very light trimming in the front. The added diameter gives excellent ground clearance and actually drives MUCH better. The hwy rpm’s are much nicer now.
I built a super low profile fixed bed platform that I am very proud of. New, high quality Approx 6’ x 4’ mattress. Maximizes headroom and 32” of storage height underneath.
Custom Interior panels with thinsulate insulation behind all + driver/passenger doors
Factory floor with original rivets replaced with rig nuts + lonseal flooring
*in progress
-currently having someone weld up coastal off-road front (aluminum) + rear (steel) bumpers with dual rear swing outs for a spare tire + 2 bike rack (included). Will need to be raptor lined, powdered, or painted.
-Built but unfinished/uninstalled Baltic birch cabinet for nrx 130 fridge + 40x36 kitchen cabinet with 12 sidio crate “drawers”
Things that need attention
Sliding door could use adjustment since reinstalling post paint
3rd brake light wiring needs to be reattached
Head unit stopped working when I cut the original rear view camera. Need to locate and replace fuse.
Optional extras
200ah lithium renogy battery
All other necessary electrical components for a full 12v system
Dometic NRX 130 12v fridge
Camp chef camp stove
Also includes uninstalled vevor diesel heater
2 Arctic tern windows
Malone 1.5 tune
Spare parts kit (timing belt, fuel filter, sensors)
I had planned to do new Bilstein front struts + the T1n quaife limited slip differential which I think would make this one of the most off-road capable 2wd vans out there. Excellent ground clearance, short wheelbase, incredible approach and departure angles.
Comes with 5 gallons of oil + 4 filters, 10 quarts of shell transmission fluid, hot shots diesel additive, lots more I am forgetting.
I’ve done a ton of hard work on this van. It’s very unique and drives super well. It’s peppy, maneuverable and great on fuel. Unfortunately I took a major fall in the mountains last summer and had 3 major surgeries so I haven’t been able to work on it and things have shifter where I think it’s better to pass along to someone who can finish the job and take this across the country/world on some amazing adventures.
