I am half way through (the back half) converting my 2007 E350 Type B RV to 4x4. As there is scant informaton available on the necessary exhaust modifications for the gas 5.4L engine with the 4R75E transmission, I thought to post some pics. The vehicle was not on a lift when I took the pics so they are not the best and were shot rather randomly as I slithered around under there. The exhaust shop had welded on some separate sheet metal as heat shields where the pipes were close to the NV271F transfer case and the shortened gas tank. In addition I added some fabric ThermoTec clamp on heat shields over top of theirs in order to reduce heat soak. My vehicle has 2 cats each side.
