For Sale: 2008 Fuso FG140, Commercial PTO & Hydraulics

Mileage: 54,000 miles

Location: Calgary, Alberta, Canada

Description:
Perfect condition, like new. 4.9 litre Diesel, Manual, 4x4. Immaculately maintained, maintenance log book. Moving to Asia permanently, have to sell. Truck was originally intended for bush work but ended up as private travel mobile for my family and I (hence the low mileage). Custom 280 litre aluminum fuel tank. Many original maintenance parts from dealership included in sale. MUT-III Tech Computer with software license included (this is the computer that dealership technicians use to manipulate, monitor, troubleshoot the engine; bought for $5,000). Two sets of spare wheels and tires. Chelsea PTO with Leduc Hydraulic Pump (superb commercial heavy-duty pump designed for industrial applications in the oil patch; an overkill, but it is the pump that fit). Hydraulic Warren Industrial winch. Two hydraulic cooling fans. E-Brakes etc. Camper on back is welded-aluminum-frame and panels; very light (850lbs) and extremely durable for tough, hard off-roading. Very expensive to build a camper using that technique. Insulated-for-winter office and sleeper. Nice interior finish, using birch and maple. Slide-out tool boxes, many aluminum storage cabinets. Open flatdeck area in back for storage. Markings are vinyl and can easily be pulled off. Please e-mail me at stompi69@yahoo.com for inquiries.

Price: 65,000 USD

That's one of the more unique designs out there!

What's the wheelbase - looks like it may have been extended?

GLWS!

You wrote, "hence the low mileage" but I don't see the actual miles listed.

In most states in USA, to get a vehicle classified as an RV (lower registration and insurance fees), the vehicle needs a permanent bed, and permanent stove or refrigerator. Your post mentions sleeping, but not kitchen facilities. Can you post a floor plan for the living quarters/office as configured today?

the living quarter was designed to be a field office, as shown in the photos. There is no kitchen, stove or ref. The main purpose was to serve as 4x4 carrying a 'Geoprobe' on the back. A Geoprobe is a rig that pushes geophysical tooling into the ground. We would gather these data, process them on that unit (hence the office) and upload the result onto a server. Again, we built the unit, but then never used it for that purpose ... just the way it worked out.

For folks who live in USA, you should check with Fuso of North America to make sure the Canadian version of the Fuso meets the USA rules for safety and engine emissions. Chances are good that the Canadian version is exactly the same as USA models. You may need a statement from Fuso of NA to that effect to import the vehicle.

Good point.
