2008 JK hardtop hoist

JIMBO

Expedition Leader
:sombrero: Here's a system that lets you remove your hardtop alone, with no RUBEGOLDBERG straps, or balance trouble

Now mine is easy because I've got the MBRP cage, you can modify the attachments to suit !!

Sorry about the blurry shot of the crank/lock mechanism, it's 100 degrees and I'm tired

this hoist will support 250 lbs and uses plastic coated cable

If you have a stud finder and 48" ctr rafters-cool

If you don't have 48" between the ceiling joists, the info tells you how to use a different mounting sys-info isn't too clear, but it's a pretty simple sys

Pretty cool. What'd you pay for this setup just out of curiosity? How long does it take to take off/put on the top now?

:sombrero: Yo JP, I got it from COSTCO for $139 + shipping

I don't know I just put it up and I haven' taken the top off , but i would guess that I could do it in 20 minutes and it would stay secured up against the ceiling, till I put it back on !!!

Pretty neat setup

Hot damn! Not bad at all and far nicer looking than the old pulley system I used before.

Thanks for sharing this with us, definitely going to have to try this out myself. :)

:sombrero:It's a multi-use hoist, I can carry and store my Sevylor-EASY
