2008 rims on 01?

Just curious if some 16" steel wheels from a 2008 taco will fit my 01'?
It looks like the 08' wheels are 4.5" backspacing, so they should work I would think.

Any ideas?

It will bolt right on. Seen plenty of them on TTORA.

Just don't buy any 07+ Tundra rims to put on your Tacoma.

Hey, when you get your wheels, would you mind verifying the backspacing? I've heard everything from 4.5" to 5". I'd appreciate it if you could check. I think the easiest way is to lay the wheel face down, lay something flat going across the back of the wheel, then measure from the straight edge to the back of the center dish.

It will work. I was thinking about the FJ Cruiser TRD wheels too. Their cheap and look good too!! Just can't find the Gun Metal colored ones new anymore.

If you don't mind a little rock rash (ok, a lot) hit up Vermejo on YT. I think he's getting wider wheels with his 35's. I recall reading Toyota stopped selling those separate from a vehicle.

I was thinking about that, but I can get the silver ones for $120 I think. Pretty cheap for a factory wheel!!

So they do NOT fit, damn! Went down to Les S. and the front wheels hit the upper a-arms big time. They only charged me for 2 wheels, even though they mounted and unmounted all of them, lesson learned.

I measured them at a bit over 5" of BS, I think it was about 5-1/4".

Anybody know if they made the 2005+ steel wheels with the proper BS?

Really? Like I said, I've seen plenty on TTORA. Here is one:

No modifications. I know they're alloy, but should be the same BS. Weird.
