Eric and Mark, Both of you know that these SMB's have been selling for prices even higher than this for a long time now. And with covid spiking prices, it's kind of no wonder it's priced how it is, and that SMB TX (and CA strangely--don't know why they're still listed) don't have any E-Series 4x4's like they normally do; https://sportsmobile.com/preowned-sportsmobile-west-inc/
And it's listed in Boulder, so that seems to increase the price too, ha!
Plus it's a cool and fairly unique color.
My $0.02 at least.

I always wonder how diesels have gas tanks. ?Oversized and only 600-700 range?? My old 1999 gas suburban had that range.

Maybe... & someone may pay it... but this isn’t the time to sell and try and get a premium price, starting in March yes. Lots of people testing the waters to see if they can get a silly asking price because of COVID. Rigs priced above below $55 get lots of attention & sell fairly quick, $55k plus seem to take longer to sell, anything over $80k tends to take long & need a unique buyer.

But honestly I’ve never understood why people have thought SMB was a good value for its money. I’ll probably always be critical of a un-bullet proofed 6.0 on an SMB platform for $100k, not to mention poor build quality (I’ve completely gutted at least 20 now). If it had the engine done then mabye $75-80k to the right buyer. But I don’t think it’s gonna sell.

Says no propane. But I did not see a diesel or induction cooktop. Only has 185 watts of solar. So what do they cook on...? ??‍♂️

Why is March better than now? ;) Lots of pricey rigs (pricey for what they are, and also rigs priced at <$350k) have been selling pretty quickly in the last 6mos.

And I cannot disagree with you one bit. Funny as to the kool aide many drink. But moreover, sad that they're a booming business because of what they turn out. Something for everyone...

The reason I said March is industry trends, the last 5 years of data from sales at CCV & my own obsession with everything overland shows that you get your best prices from March to July on overland rigs. Not to say that COVID won‘t be skewing that data but we shall see... from a personal & business stand point I’m not interested in anything over 150k mostly because that’s not my market so I sort of ignored it. Plus it‘s a higher risk sale IMHO. But I whole heartedly appreciate your insight on higher price rigs.

Ah, understood. Interesting data.

It's been interesting to watch the "big boys"; Earthroamer, Earthcruiser, GXV, etc...they've been running out of "pre-owned" vehicles for sale. Rigs priced at $250k+ have been selling within 1-3mos; same here on ExPo for these caliber of rigs priced $150k+. Hard to believe there are enough people laying down that coin, especially at times like this, but I guess enough people want to get out in something very nice.
