2009 E350 6.0 Ambulance! A few questions

Hello! Just a few questions I has! I have and drive this lovely unit which I picked up from northern Ontario (out here in Canada).
Ambulance, 2009 E350 6.0 Diesel, it only has 33k and 120 idle engine hours.
A few big questions I've had which I've found difficult to find annnnyyywhere:

Vegetable Waste Oil setup..: I would dearly love a good idea of how to go about doing this, even how to bring it up to a local mechanic. I've been browsing around these forums and found a little bit.. links?

Insulation: How is the standard insulation in one of these? I know not all vehicles/ambulances are created equal, but its better to ask for advice before I use my sick/vacation days to find out. Does anyone know if its up to the average -10/-20 winters? Or should I be removing panels and beefing it up!

Batteries/solar: I'm fairly decent in the electrical side of things, but I have found looking for backup batteries for my rig quite annoying. Some people say anything works, other people have opposite opinions! The webbernet is great but It's also a minefield of good and misinformation :(. Any basic direction from ya'll who might know would be great!! I probably won't be using solar in the near future but planning ahead never hurts.

Oh, and I heard that ambulances have RPM/speed limiters? Is this something I should be looking into..

Any GENERAL advice is also appreciated!
I have lived out of tiny homes and my car before and saw this unit available through a friend and thought.. well what could go wrong.. :)

Congrats. That is barely broken in.

Which ambulance module is it?
I've got a 2009 E350 Crestline New Era with the 6.0 so I've been dealing with some of the same questions.

Veggie Oil - everything I've read has stated that if you like your 6.0 to run good then a veggie conversion is a bad idea. No personal experience though. It's an expensive motor to experiment with.
Batteries: If it's a Crestline then you should already have 4 batteries. 2 starting and 2 deep cycle. @Bikersmurf recently added Golf Cart batteries and is happy with them. I was going to do the same but just got a large telco 12 volt battery at a steal.
Solar - easy to do. See my build thread
Speed/RPM limiter. If there is one it's high enough that you shouldn't have to worry about it. Mine may have been up to 135kph without issue.

Good find. Most have 2” of fibreglass insulation. The standards they are built to are met by all the manufacturers.

I’m not an expert but am getting it figured out after 5 years ;)
