Finally, some pictures. I bought this 2005 Tacoma at a salvage yard. I had to beat some dents out of the roof, replace the back with a flatbed. Added 5100 bilsteins, new leaf pack in the rear, sprayed raptor liner on the whole thing. New lights, and fenders. Some bits here and there and presto. I really needed a truck like this. I only have a work van (plumbing/heating). I also wanted something to clear my parents driveway as well as ours and a rental. Best of all, it will pull the cobalt I found just before christmas. A trip is being planned once school ends for the 6 year old this year.

Looks like a nice score! Love seeing newer trucks getting used as actual trucks, yours has a lot of character. Is that a home-built flatbed or a local builder, etc? Definitely interested in learning a bit more.

Thanks. Its a home built flatbed. It took some time to get started, but once I had the basic layout, it went quite smooth. I need to get the fuel filler finalized and some mounting points for the gas cans we got from AT. Its something I needed for awhile especially hauling boilers out, wood etc. The van just won't cut it. The fleetwood Cobalt should tow pretty good.

you pretty well convinced me on the flat bed. looks good.

info on the snow plow set up please.

Its a snowdogg MD75 from Buyers. They make a lot of things like sanders, plows, etc.. There web site has a plow finder for your vehicle. This is the 1st plow ever for me. I went with the MD75 model just because its 6" wider than the MD68 and it was only 20lbs heavier. I was going with the snoway but they went from a 5 to a 2 year warrenty. Did you get the pictures I sent?? I've lost all of my e-mail addresses when the hard drive felt a stray EMP LOL. We had to replace it.

ya, i got the pictures. really appriciate it. trying to get my 4runner lined out rite now, so i may start on the flat bed in the spring. my buddy just ordered a pipe bender and i'm aking to try it out. good luck with the build

Don't know how this thread slipped past me, but I just found it through the current t100 flatbed thread..

I'm planning to flatbed my '99 Taco, I'd love to see some more detailed pics of how you did it.
