Not really understanding the dual steering stabilizer set up. I know that is pretty standard on Javier/Crow builds though. UJoint leads me to believe, if conversion done right, not needed.

Interesting looking vehicle though.

It's a Quadvan conversion. John at Quadvan is just a phone call away.

I've never needed a double setup but many have.

Edit to add: I don't know that I've ever seen a Quadvan with dual stabilizers but I haven't seen a lot of Quadvans, honestly. I'm kind of curious why in this particular case as well.

People have been putting them on ujoint vans... Chris is not a fan. I don't have a stabilizer on my ujoint van, but do have it on my coil spring van (which is 4x4) as well. I have it on my coil sprung van because it helps with bump steer in those rare occasions that cause bad bump steer or light steering when we have our van loaded to the gills with gear (air bags fixed the light front end feel).

The steering stabilizer's primary function is to dampen or stabilize the side to side movement of the wheels in much the same way shock absorbers limiting excessive suspension movement & oscillation. Steering stabilizers can be a necessary component because they help to absorb bump-steer and flighty steering issues. If you have a heavy duty steering stabilizer (2 vs 1), it will help absorb more bump-steer in those instances.

People suggesting that a heavier duty or dual steering stabilizer is the solution to "fix a wandering/flighty steering problem", or "if you have had an episode of Death Wobble, installing a better steering stabilizer or even a double steering stabilizer will correct the problem". Nothing could be further from the truth! A steering stabilizer will often act as a band-aid to cover up or disguise the real causes of wandering or flighty steering which could be caused by anything from poor alignment to improper steering geometry to a broken track-bar mount on the frame or axle, or any number of other things.

It is important to realize that a steering stabilizer does NOT and WILL NOT FIX any steering problem. It will only dampen the symptoms. It is important that steps be taken to diagnose and fix the actual source of any steering problem that you might be experiencing as opposed to masking or hiding it with a steering stabilizer. We our coil sprung van had issues I took the stabilizer off to diagnose the problem before it went back on... Personally I think steer stabilizer are more common on coil sprung rigs vs leaf. IMMV.
