Going to be heading up north (Canada, I'm Canadian) as a teacher in spring 2021. Going to be hopping around towns being a teacher on call while doing a lot of adventuring in between (fishing, hunting, multiday hikes). Trying to figure out which setup would be the best. I want to be able to spend a couple of weeks at a time at different in town campsites with amenities while I work - would like to have an electrical, kitchen, outside shower, awning for my time in town working. Then take off on adventures in between work contracts.
I'm thinking a four-wheel camper would be ideal haha, just not sure if it's realistic to find something at 15k or less. Are there any other options out there people would recommend? What are people's thoughts on my vehicle choices? I like the Tacoma for getting anywhere and reliability, I would have to add suspension/airbags though to deal with a camper. F350 is semi bullet-proofed, I have done the EGR Delete but not the head gaskets. The upkeep of the f350 will definitely be more expensive, but it offers a lot more space and fuel economy...
Needed to put my thoughts out there, don't have anyone at home to brainstorm with. Let me know what you think!
Cheers
