The Polar Express has been my capable 4x4 overlander since 2015. one of the cleanest vans you will find with low miles.
Van has the 5.4 Triton V8 a reliable, and powerful enough workhorse for any high elevation mountain pass
A brief history, I purchased the van with the CCV poptop and upgraded stereo ( that was it) it was a perfect specimen to build her into the most awesome overlander camping rig. This Van has the rare and sought after REAR AC which blows cold.
Van currently sits with 85K miles all pleasure miles, never used for a daily driver or work van. VERY CLEAN. I paid 34K for the van, and have over 50K in upgrades including the full 4x4 conversion. about 84K total I have spent to make this into the ultimate 4x4 overlander that seats 5 and sleeps 4 comfortably. Of course 1-2 people you pop the top and you have an apartment to share inside with the single leaf raised.
