The biggest reason to love this kind of vehicle over any van is access to the powertrain...
I'll never buy a van or a newer pickup.... where the windshield covers half the engine and the service manual tells you to lift the cab off the frame to do an oil change.

Usually these Forest Service crew buggies have a traction device in the rear diff. The body is built to survive roll overs and keep the crew riding in back safe. Usually they have a DT, inline 6 in them but I have seen older ones with the V8 diesels. I would not buy one with a Maxxforce 7 in it, unless you like supporting me and my old International habit. If anyone here is interested in it pm me the last 8 of the VIN and I can tell you the build sheet.
