Looks like the 2014 Sprinter will stand pat with the V6 diesel for USA. The vehicle is a little lower, improving fuel economy a little. When the official press release talks about improved materials in the steering wheel, you know not much has changed.

That's for Europe. Odds are very high we won't get that in the USA (and with only 156hp, don't really want it.)

very well could be, just going off that article which says US should get most features. I do love the turbo diesel thats in them now.

Now Mercedes Benz USA has made an announcement of its own about the USA version of the 2014 Sprinter. The 2.1L 4 cylinder diesel engine with 161hp, 265 lb-ft of torque and a 7-speed automatic transmission is the new standard engine across the USA Sprinter line (both wheelbases, all body styles). The 3.0L V6 diesel (188 hp, 325 lb-ft, 5-speed automatic transmission) will be optional. Both diesels use urea injection to help control emissions. No mention of a gasoline or CNG powered engine for 2014.
