Pretty sure that is still Skyline Drive outside of Canon City, been a long time since I was down there, but maybe OP will confirm (or deny).

Ya thats right It's Sky Line drive on the edge of Canon City

we went right past that last Oct 2015 (NY to UT trip) and I would have totally ran that road... *grumbles... next time for sure.
