Selling our recently (2023) completed expedition truck. We've done the shake down so you don't have to. A multitude of upgrades and smart features makes this the perfect home on wheels, on and off road. The foundation is a purpose purchased Mitsubishi FUSO FG 4x4 medium duty truck, that was bought new in 2019 specifically for this project; completed with a Total Composites 15' (4.5 m) habitat with departure angle. Supporting the habitat is an articulating subframe, engineered and installed by Intercontinental Truck Body (Vancouver, BC).
We have camped in +40C (104F) and we've camped in -10C (10F), the truck is equally as comfortable in both. We have also tested the handling, maneuverability, traction and overall ability. In two trips to Baja and many days and nights spent on the beach, we have never been stuck. It also handles well in snow. The truck has taken on Berdoo Canyon in Joshua Tree and the back road from La Ventana to Los Barriles.
Thinking you've seen this truck before? You have, it was sold as a partially complete project in 2022, since then we have spent more money than I can reasonably explain to my wife and 100's of hours honing every detail of the truck to make it an ideal full time rig or an ultra-luxurious weekender.
So what's inside and what's changed?
