Fully dialed-in setup ideal for two people, refined over 3+ years. We've designed both electrical and storage for quality and functionality. It's been an awesome setup for our overlanding trips, but it is time for a new adventure.

The suspension lift, winch and maxtrax get you confidently to a lot of quiet and beautiful places. The 200W solar and 30A alternator charging for 200 Ah of LFP battery capacity gives you plenty of power for the fridge and induction cooktop. Even with limited sunshine we've found that driving every other day is enough to keep things topped off. And with induction cooking you can cook in places with a total fire ban. The GFC rooftop tent is relatively light, and with the special GFC 4Runner roof mounts it has a lower profile than many other RTT options.

The current setup has the rear seat removed, to allow for generous drawers, an easy-access electrical panel behind the front seats, and a 'garage' area between the electrical panel and the drawers for water jerry cans (we fit 2x 5 gallon), tool box, recovery gear, ladder and foldable table. Everything has a place, and most of the heavy stuff is near the center of gravity, not on the roof or hanging off of the rear bumper. I've done the design and build of the cabinets and kitchen myself, with quality construction methods (dados, glue and screw) and materials. It's holding up really well.

We can chat about putting the rear seat back in, but as mentioned the current setup is really dialed in for 2 people, it'd be a shame if we need to revert it to a 5 seater for the rig to sell.

The rig is in good condition and is dealer maintained. Motivated to sell.

Great looking setup! I'm loving the drawer system. Can I ask where you bought the drawers from? Or if you designed it, do you have any build plans you would share? Good luck with the sale!

For those who are interested, this is the main layout of the electrical. The Redarc system is used to control the fridge, air compressor, power to the kitchen (12V outlets, USB charge port, lights), HAM radio, and rock lights.

Thanks. It is a good sized space.
  • How wide is the garage deck, front to back? I use wolf packs for my gear and want to make sure they would fit, 20"L x 16"W
  • Will the rear seat fit in the garage to transport?
  • How far are the 100ah batteries from the center console? Pics? Is there a cover over the batteries, exposed lugs and connections?
  • It seems like a lot of weight on the electrical wall. Are the hinges the only attachment point/support?
  • When the garage is empty does the electrical wall lay down?
  • Does the floor of the garage extend under the fridge and drawers? How is the floor attached to the vehicle? I don't see any attachment points on the garage floor.
  • Can the cabinetry be removed easily? I assume that is a piece of aluminum angle attaching the fridge wall and drawers to the deck. In one of the other pictures it appears there is an aluminum strip under the drawers at the rear hatch.
  • What are the fridge slides rated? 100lbs, 200lbs?
  • Is the rear passenger grab handle available? Can it be reinstalled?
Sorry again for all the questions but you are a considerable distance away. Trying to make sure I know what I would be buying before I get on a plane. It appears you have done a great job with this build using quality components which I appreciate.

No worries, I understand.
  • The garage floor is 48" x 19". There is a little bit of extra space between the edge of the deck and the doors, about 3" on each side.
  • Not sure about the rear seat, it might work. It would take a bit of work to actually figure that out. For a very serious buyer with agreed price we can test it out.
  • You can stick your fingers between the batteries and the center console. I'll attach a photo. The battery lugs are not covered, but it's not an area that is easy to access. If you want to stuff things between the seats and the electronics / battery board it'd be wise to add covers. Shouldn't be too hard to make a wood L-shaped strip that you screw in from the side. We opted for heaving relatively easy access in case of troubleshooting / repairs.
  • The electrical wall has wings that go down to the foot well that are bolted into the rear seat mounting points with steel L-brackets. I'll add a photo that should help illustrate.
  • The wall can stay upright and is solid when the garage is empty. You need to unbolt the steel L-brackets when you want to fold the wall down.
  • The back of the garage floor is bolted down using the rear mounting points of the rear seats. It does not extend under the cabinets, since the vehicle floor below the rear seats is lower than the back area of the car. The cabinets are mounted to the garage floor using a full-length aluminum profile. At the back of the cabinets they are tied together using an aluminum profile. The cabinets are held down with a shackle at the back using the standard tie-down points. It's been working well even on very bumpy roads, but a custom bracket that provides a solid connection between the cabinets and the chassis would be an improvement.
  • The cabinets can be removed by unscrewing / unbolting everything. Probably takes an afternoon? Note that no holes were drilled, it uses factory mounting points.
  • The fridge slides (and bottom drawer) are 40" and 379 lbs rated (Vadania VD2576)
  • We have the original grab handles that were removed. The plan was to add a net for a storage loft, but never had the time. We actually have most of the original parts, including rear seats, side steps, and suspension.

Also, just so there is no confusion about the state of the paint, this is a photo (probably worst possible given the harsh sunlight) to illustrate. A lot of the scratches should buff out, but there are deeper scratches that go through the top layer of the paint that won't.
