This is a different type of build project... And YES it will be fully road legal (many states). This is our first UTV and think it will be a fun addition... You may have seen our current Overland build 2020 Super Duty: https://expeditionportal.com/forum/...liberty-expedition-truck-camper-build.216281/

We purchased this 2021 RMAX2 XTR with 700 miles... It came with a plastic windshield and a couple scratches. Our plan is to build it for some of the most difficult rock crawling trails: Rubicon, Fordyce, Dusy Ershim and more. Several trails will be multi-day which will allow for camping along the trail. Basically a "mini-overlander" to hard to reach destinations.

We've built many off road trucks and rock crawlers.... but this is our first Side by Side! Lots to learn!

Stay tuned as we share our adventures and build progress!

We take our newly purchased 2021 Yamaha Wolverine RMAX2 XTR side by side on an off road rock crawling adventure… the ULTIMATE TEST DRIVE!

We purchased this off roader used with 700 miles planning to take it on difficult rock crawling trails we previously traveled with our old Tacoma (see previous videos). The idea is that we can tow the RMAX2 in our enclosed trailer while traveling with the Truck Camper.

This adventure gave us respect for the stock RMAX capabilities and a list of shortcomings and parts to modify. Keep posted in our upcoming videos to see what we upgrade!

We’ve owned the Yamaha RMAX for several weeks now and wanted to share our review. Our experience in the Side by Side world is limited as this is our first! However, anyone considering purchasing might find our observations and feedback interesting.

Overall, we are having a great time with this new toy. I do wish the build quality was better, noise was less, fuel economy improved and less expensive to modify. But you can’t beat the small size, light weight and simplicity which is lacking in modern 4x4 vehicles.
