My Bushwhacker, whacked out!
picked up my basic, cheap Bushwhacker last August with lots of plans. Wanted a Mission but way too much $. maybe someday. Had about 2 months to plan and prep a battery box, lithium battery, frame mod, suspension and galley. I got the roof rack mod/Treeline RTT, battery box and frame done before winter, and she sat over a long winter/spring. Did the galley, fridge, electrical and lucky to have my brother in law help with the suspension, Timbren 3500HD 4 inch lift, new wheels and found some nice Cooper Discos. Pretty happy with how it tuned out, got more minor stuff planned. Originally wanted to go to Tuk/Arctic Ocean but fuel prices put those plans back.

Turns out quality control not so good. Brakes never worked, found the factory wiring compressed to failure. Also the right side of the camper axle and fender was 1 inch farther towards front, resulting in an extra hour of work to reposition the fender.

Battery box was fun to put together. I will need to add a Renogy monitor so I can program the Lithium setting on the DCDC charger. The solar is putting my Battery in over voltage situation. I guess Discover Blue batteries like a little,less,volts..

Wanted a built in fridge. Dometic 50:with freezer. Had to go into the wall a bit.

Looks great! Can you tell me about your two front storage boxes? Looking for something similar. Where did you pick those up. Thanks.

Thanks. 16” Ace Manufacturing Boot box. All aluminum. They make different styles and sizes mostly used for attaching to semi truck trailers. Not sure if these ones are only in Canada but I know other ones are available at trucking supply stores. Kind of pricey. I scuffed them up then painted them with rubberized undercoating spray.

Any idea how much your setup weighs loaded? Any issues with the RTT up there?
