2wd 2005 Chevy Express 2500 4.8l LS basedV8 with ~117k on the clock
.
I bought it to tour around the country with my at the time girlfriend, now fiance after she graduated college to find where we wanted to end up. Drove around 10k miles from Montana to colorado, down to arkansas to see her grandparents, back up through montana to washington and the san juan islands and realized we didnt have to go farther. Now its been my daily but I work from home and rarely use it, we end up traveling around in her VW jetta, so looking to get a 4x4 suv for weekend adventures
.
It was first owned as a work van up until 60K miles I believe, then was sold to the 2nd owner who wanted to build a camper van but never got around to it. It was then sold to my friend who is an auto mechanic. He owned it for a year before selling it to me in early 2020. It was a Nevada van prior to moving to Bozeman MT in 2019, then being sold to me in 2020. It has been in Washington since late 2021. The minimal rust on the frame has accumulated since moving here. Prior to this it was rust free.
.
Fully insulated with 2" foam board and expanding foam between all the gaps and pillars. Floor is not insulated to keep as much space as possible (i'm 6'2")
We have camped down to -13*F with only a normal blanket thanks to the diesel heater
Falken Wildpeak AT3 a/t with ~20k miles on them
Maxxair fan in the roof
200W of renogy solar
100ah agm battery
renogy charge controller
USB ports hard wired
1000W inverter
LED strip lights along with push lights
5KW diesel heater
foot pump sink with 5 gallon fresh/grey jerry tanks
roof rack
swivel passenger chair
Iceco VL45 fridge
slide out bed with 4" of foam (2 mattresses) included if you want.
black out curtain
LED light strip around the perimeter
2" hitch I used for my bike rack, never towed (not sure about the previous owner though)
wind deflectors
windshield sun reflector
Back up camera full time as rear view
updated bluetooth radio
.
Repairs since ownership:
Synthetic oil with high quality filters every 5k miles (yes I know synthetic can go much longer)
.
mishimoto 4x7 LED headlights, rear tail lights and blinkers
Fuel pump replaced w/ delco
Mass air flow sensor
transmission fluid, filter, gasket, and new pan with drain plug
windshield wipers
lower radiator fitting had a small leak, new fitting installed
between 98k miles and 110k miles (when I initially bought the van)
.
NGK iridium spark plugs ( 8 )
bilstein 4600 shock absorbers (all 4)
Ceramic brake pads and coated rotors (all 4)
brake fluid flush
oil coolant lines and gasket
ac and serpentine belt/ tensioners replaced with gates belts
between 110k and 117k miles
.
It has dents and dings like any previously work vehicle. The grill has some cracks in it, the front bumper has a dent on the passenger side, rear passenger door has a dent
.
Low mileage, everything on it would be solid as can be and it is full time living ready. Would make a great high top conversion at TufPort or a lifted 4x4 conversion!
